4th Annual Disability & Mental Health Summit

March 22nd, 23rd and 24th at the Beth El Congregation on Cochran Road

Here is the 411 about signing up for the Summit:

Visit DisabilitySummit.com

Visit DisabilitySummit.com, to view the entire roster of 32 informative sessions. This site describes each program, lists the speakers, and confirms the date and time of each session so that you can be as efficient as possible while navigating our jam-packed calendar. More information about exhibitors and continuing education credits will be listed online soon. Special thanks to Mt. Lebanon’s Joe Polk for sponsoring the site!

How to Register

The easiest way to register is to visit DisabilitySummit.com. There you can review our schedule and within a few quick clicks you can make sure to reserve your spot in the session(s) that mean the most to you and your family. Thanks to our event sponsor, St. Clair Hospital, there is absolutely no cost to attend the Summit again this year. However, there are modest fees for lunch or continuing education credits but those are completely optional. To be clear, no one has to pre-register and walk-ins are welcome, but be aware some sessions may be limited due to capacity, so pre-registering is definitely helpful for everyone!

Continuing Education Credits

We will again offer professional education credits for teachers, social workers, and lawyers. The only cost for the credits is for the administration fee required for each. At this time we have received confirmation about credits for teachers and social workers, and expect to have our complete package for lawyers soon. For more information on credits, click here.

Resource Fairs

Since the Summit now occupies three days of activities at Beth El, we will have a Resource Fair on each day. Day one and day two will have a support services focus, and day three will specifically cover employment and transition. This new format will allow over 150 organizations to participate. No registration is needed to attend our Resource Fairs, but they do get crowded so plan accordingly. We also may have a couple of exhibitor spots still open, so any organization that wishes to have a spot should apply online today. Additionally, we will soon have a complete roster of participating organizations available for your review here.

Online Updates

The Summit has its own Facebook page at facebook.com/MillerDisabilitySummit which is different than our official state page. This page obviously just focuses on the Summit and will have more information on all of our activities.

There is so much more information to come on this important event, so look for updates soon. Special thanks as always to our community partners, especially the good people at Beth El Congregation and Saints Simon and Jude Parish, as well as our key program partners, the PEAL Center, 21 and Able, Pittsburgh Youth Leadership Taskforce, and Allegheny Family Network.
