Sibling Grief: A Child’s Perspective

$5

Thursday June 15th, 2017

7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh South

164 Fort Couch Road

Pittsburgh, PA 15241

Many of us have come together as bereaved parents to share the loss of our child. However, many of us also struggle with raising our families in the shadow of that loss. In 2016, The Still Remembered Project established a partnership with the Highmark Caring Place, since our nonprofit is peer based. This group of experts has stepped up to assist us beyond our current capabilities. Ms. Sheena Shannon, from the Caring Place will be the guest presenter and has served as the volunteer services coordinator and child grief specialist at the Caring Place since 1998.

The presentation is targeted for parents to better understand how children process the loss of a sibling. There will be helpful tips for talking to your child/children about their sibling and ways to remember them in your family. Plenty of time will be saved for questions.

Registration is $5. Please register online here.
