Aging in Place with a Plan

April 29, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

When navigating aging-related issues for yourself, a family member or in your job as a legal, medical, or financial professional there is often a point that you can find yourself awkwardly operating in unknown areas.

IKOR of Western Pennsylvania is offering an ongoing series of workshops around how to best support aging-related concerns around Life Management addressing Medical, Psychosocial, Environmental, Financial and routine living concerns. This series of workshops are provided to help Seniors, Family Caregivers, and the professionals who support them to feel empowered in the areas which they might otherwise struggle.

Aging in Place with a Plan

Most seniors still tend not to plan for aging, and either by choice or necessity, they age in place either staying in their home or moving to an apartment or condominium. Everyone wants to age in place — and then when that first episode occurs that makes them, or someone close to them, recognize that everything is changing, the situation can become overwhelming. This workshop will explain the different areas to consider while making a plan to Age in Place. We will walk through the planning areas and briefly outline the different types of living arrangements for Seniors as they age.

Presented by Patricia Hanson MS, AGLP, CLCP, Managing Director IKOR of Western Pennsylvania Saturday, April 29, 2017, 10 am- 12 noon.
