Within two weeks she was working with her new team to implement a pandemic plan\, transition to remote work\, establish ongoing communication with her board\, and continue operations – while still introducing herself and leadership style to her team. Dr. Reynolds remained rooted in the passion that brought her to the position: knowing the YWCA is a critical regional partner in addressing persistent disparities between men and women\, particularly for African American.  What fueled her passion for eliminating racism and empowering women had not been altered by a pandemic – she is still an African-American woman ever mindful of the challenges and opportunities of living at the intersection of race and gender.
